I was in two over the years - the first no one read the books (except me) so we couldn't talk about them and the second rarely read books I was interested in until they read my suggestion which I loved and they were unimpressed by (Kindred by Octavia Butler). Anyway, I LOVED TDHoFL-B and wish I could have joined in on the discussion! Such a great character and a fun and interesting premise.Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01824878592904910941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873036011530033335.post-71757180213675032512012-05-21T11:29:33.981-04:002012-05-21T11:29:33.981-04:00I really enjoyed this book, especially because I t...I really enjoyed this book, especially because I think it addresses those social questions you mention in a way that teeangers can relate to. It was assigned as summer reading for our freshmen one year--the boys claimed to hate it, but I think they enjoyed discussing it anyway. Also, totally jealous of your book club!Tiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15334016706182776266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873036011530033335.post-16083433821039013662012-05-21T08:29:00.753-04:002012-05-21T08:29:00.753-04:00Agree that I really wish that I had found a book l...Agree that I really wish that I had found a book like this when I was Frankie's age. Loved it! She's such a wonderfully drawn character. Your book club sounds like a lot of fun. I'm currently testing out a new club but they mostly read really really new releases and I'm not sure that my pocketbook can afford that! ;)Trish @ Love, Laughter, Insanityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17225576485797030511noreply@blogger.com
