It's Teaser Tuesday, a bookish blog meme hosted every week by MizB of Should Be Reading. Here's how it works:
Grab your current read and let it fall open to a random page (or if you're reading on an electronic device, pick a random number and scroll to that section). Post two or more sentences from that page, along with the book title and author. Share your find with others in the comments at Should Be Reading, and don't give anything vital away!
“‘I’ve never seen anything like it,’ Tel Sigurdson said. ‘Five lightening strikes one right after the other. All in the same spot. Or near enough. Burned it black as pitch.’”
p. 51 of Deborah Coates’ Wide Open

That is strange. Everyone always says that lightning doesn't strike the same place twice. Interesting teaser. Thanks for sharing. Mine is here.
I like the cover of this one...the teaser is intriguing too.

O that place is either magical or cursed. Great teaser.
Interesting teaser. I wonder what else makes that place special.
I've seen this book floating around the blogosphere, and I'm really curious! Love the teaser too!
Something about your cover is really eye catching! Hope you enjoy!

Oh wow! Lightning doesn't strike the same place twice, well it does, but not 5 times! :D
Great teaser!
Hey, Cecelia! Thanks for stopping by earlier! This sounds interesting; I haven't heard of this title before...
First of all, I'm really sorry for commenting so late. I've been incredibly busy these past few days, but that's no excuse.
And second enough, I love that! I also just love the sound of this one; it looks absolutely fantastic. But that teaser just guarantees that this is a must-read.
