teaser tuesday (10)

Tuesday, September 8, 2009 |
It's Teaser Tuesday, a bookish blog meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Here's how it works:

Grab your current read and let it fall open to a random page. Post two (or more) sentences from that page, along with the title and author. Don’t give anything vital away!

“I don’t want to remember the absolute disaster of dinner the night before.

It all started when a servant walked into the drawing room after my piano-playing debut and said dinner was served.”

-p. 80 of Mandy Hubbard’s Prada and Prejudice

I got a whole "dun dun dunnnn!" in my head when I read that. Fun! I've seen this book around -- I'll be interested to hear what you have to say about it.

Yes, that's quite an image on the cover! Hope the book's heroine doesn't end up in that exact situation - looks painful. Nice teaser!

Prada and Prejudice! I already love it for the title! And then the teaser gives a hint that the book indeed follows in the footsteps of its semi-namesake. Love it! Great choice for a teaser.

My own teaser is at Bookishgal.
